TF2: The Classes of the Round Table
Monty Python meets Team Fortress in this awesome mash-up of the classic musical number from Holy Grail and the game. That's not all though; on the official side of things, Valve is giving anyone who purchases a copy of Worms Reloaded on Steam wearable Holy Hand Grenades (pictured above). You also get a little helmet. Yay~
Sam & Max, TF2, Penny Arcade and Strong Bad Crossover?
Telltale just made me change my pants. Their latest video teases a crossover so epic, I don't think the world can handle it. Sam & Max + Penny Arcade + Team Fortress + Strong Bad? Waaaht?
Valve: TF2 Shorts May be Leading to a Half-Life Movie
Alongside Blizzard, Valve is a studio with a reputation as perfectionists. It makes sense then that they would feel protective of the properties and characters they've created. At the same time, it's also pretty strange that there really hasn't ever been much talk about any of Valve's classic titles being optioned for a film adaptation. With big money and names behind upcoming films like Bioshock and Warcraft, one must wonder if Valve will ever get on that money-wagon. It might surprise you to learn however, that Valve has been considering a Half-Life movie for sometime... and oddly enough, their awesome TF2 "Meet the" videos may be the genesis of the project.
TF2: Next Update will Add Trading, New Game Mode, 20 Items
Now that TF2 class has received its class-specific update, a lot of players have been wondering, what's next? Luckily for all of us, the answer is, a lot! PC Gamer got the news that Valve is planning an update within the next month (Valve time) that will introduce a whole load of new stuff, including, Item Trading! Woohoo!
TF2: Throw Down Thine Golden Wrenches... for Charity!
During the Engineer Update lead-up, Valve awarded 100 Golden Wrenches to random players who crafted items. It's a pretty sexy bit of in-game weaponry, granting no extra bonuses, but turning players who are killed by the wrench into gold statues instead of corpses. Sounds pretty cool to me, but not to one player going by the screename WiNGSPANNT. In fact, he hates it so much, he's going to destroy it; but not for evil (or even science), but for charity!
TF2: Polycount Contest Over, New Items Incoming
Polycount's TF2 item-designing contest has reached an end, and that's good news for us. The contest paired Polycount.com's userbase with Valve in a competition to see which fans could design the coolest items for added mayhem in the always awesome Team Fortress 2. Now that it's over however, a very chunky update is soon to be in store for the rest of us. The first ever "Polycount Pack" will feature 17 new items overall, for the Soldier, Scout, Pyro, Spy, and Sniper. Awesome! You should definitely head over to their site and check out the new items, they are ridiculously pro.
TF2: Everybody Dance Now!
Valve needs to hire this guy right freaking now. If you're a TF2 fan, you've got to check out these short videobits from professional game animator James Benson. What are they about? Team Fortress 2. Dancing. End of story.
Engineer Update: Day 4
The Engineer update is finally live and the final update is awesome. So if you guys read yesterdays update, you know I wasn't too happy with the map and was curious about the new melee weapon. Way cooler than I could have imagined.
Engineer Update: Day 3
Gah! Day 3 of the Engie update/preview is upon us and we got...a...map... Ok, so I'm a little disappointed after the sweet new weapon reveals and all, but I can dig.
Team Fortress 2 Engineer Comic
So I'm about to leave for my third day of Anime Expo, but I thought this was important to share with you guys. The new comic is hi-larious and gives us a little more insight into the bosses of the Red and Blue team, and also gives us more info about the Announcer and the Engi, like his name (Dell Conagher). Check out the new comic after the break.
