Zombies seem to be everywhere lately, especially in video games, and don't expect that to stop any time soon. Borderlands creators Gearbox recently announced a release date of November 24th for their zombie-themed Downloadable Content, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. Press Release and videos, after the jump.

Tasked with keeping the workers of Jakobs Cove alive, Dr. Ned (who is not related to Dr. Zed from Fyrestone) does his job a little too well, creating zombies and other abominations that now run rampant in this region. Players will have to work alongside Dr. Ned as they embark on a quest to cure the inhabitants of Jakobs Cove in this full-fledged expansion filled with new enemies, new quests and rare loot drops.

Sounds like a pretty fun time, look for the DLC to drop on Xbox and PS3 (no word yet on PC DLC) on November 24th.

Discuss this game, and more, in our forums.

man these zombies are getting overworked lately, surely this is against there union policies or something? seriously though movies and video games love their crazes (vampires and zombies)
