DVD Deal: Eastbound and Down for only $13

The first season of the HBO comedy, Eastbound & Down is on sale today at $12.99, 57% off. The series follows Kenny Powers, played by Danny McBride (Up in the Air, Tropic Thunder), a former MLB star who has fallen on tough times, and returns home to teach middle school PE. I'll admit I've never seen a single episode of the series, so I can't offer any sort of recommendation. Tom Shales of the Washington Post enjoyed it however, saying, "Working something of a miracle, Danny McBride, who plays Kenny and is one of the creative talents behind the show premiering tomorrow on HBO--the most recklessly funny comedy of the year--makes us kind of like Kenny Powers."
