Review: Scott Pilgrim vs the World sticky icon

This movie took balls to make, I'm just going to put that out there. Massive, colossal balls; and probably some level of colorful insanity. In his adaptation of the acclaimed comic series Scott Pilgrim, Edgar Wright took what was already an over-the-top piece of work, and crafted what will probably go down as one of the most (if not the most) crazy movies ever put to screen. It's like if Dr. Seuss and Quentin Tarantino had a baby, and that baby was trained from birth by Jackie Chan to become the greatest ninja the world has ever known and then that ninja had a bad acid trip. Scratch that, an awesome acid trip!

First Official Sucker Punch Still is a Dragon Fighting an Airplane

Cruel and Unusual Films (Zack Snyder's production company) has released the first official still from the film Sucker Punch. What is it of? Nothing less than a freaking dragon fighting a WWII-era airplane. Can you say... awesome?

Cap America: Stanley Tucci on His Role

In June it was announced that Stanley Tucci was cast as Dr. Abraham Erskine in the upcoming film, Captain America: The First Avenger. Dr. Erskineis the scientist behind the Super-Soldier Serum that turns Steve Rogers into the Captain. In a recent interview with Screen Crave, Tucci revealed some details on his character.

Walking Dead: Five New Photos

This is kind of old news, but I missed it, and felt it was cool enough to post for those of you who haven't seen it yet. AMC's adaptation of The Walking Dead is set to premiere on October 31st, but you can get a look at the series through these five recently released photos. Check 'em out below.

TF2: The Classes of the Round Table

Monty Python meets Team Fortress in this awesome mash-up of the classic musical number from Holy Grail and the game. That's not all though; on the official side of things, Valve is giving anyone who purchases a copy of Worms Reloaded on Steam wearable Holy Hand Grenades (pictured above). You also get a little helmet. Yay~

Valve: TF2 Shorts May be Leading to a Half-Life Movie

Alongside Blizzard, Valve is a studio with a reputation as perfectionists. It makes sense then that they would feel protective of the properties and characters they've created. At the same time, it's also pretty strange that there really hasn't ever been much talk about any of Valve's classic titles being optioned for a film adaptation. With big money and names behind upcoming films like Bioshock and Warcraft, one must wonder if Valve will ever get on that money-wagon. It might surprise you to learn however, that Valve has been considering a Half-Life movie for sometime... and oddly enough, their awesome TF2 "Meet the" videos may be the genesis of the project.

This is Cool: Portal's Still Alive Slowed Down 800%

Yes, you read that right, everyone's favorite video-game-related song, "Still Alive," (from the credits of Portal, not that you didn't know that already) has been slowed down 800% by soundcloud.com user Xihilisk. Check it out below, or by following that link, although be prepared to have 23 minutes to kill. Seriously.

Review: Wah Do Dem

Wah Do Dem (I’m still not sure how to pronounce that, but I think It’s something close to What Do Them) is a coming-of-age story set in 2008 during the US Presidential Elections. This film was sent to me in a clear plastic DVD case, with a white DVD that had the words “Wah Do Dem” written on it. Needless to say, I knew almost nothing about the film going into it.

Check Out: The New Star Tours Queue Video

The new (and hopefully improved) Star Tours ride will be debuting soon on May 10th 2011 in Disneyland in Anaheim, and May 17th 2011 in Disneyworld in Orlando. If you're curious what the ride will be like, you can check out the video that will play for those waiting in the queue line for the ride.

Piranha 3D: For Your Consideration Oscar Video

Piranha 3D isn’t being screened for critics, which is probably a bad sign. Or, it could just mean that the Weinstein Company doesn't think their target audience cares very much what critics think (they're probably right). Regardless, they aren't completely ignoring what their contemporaries think, and have released this appeal to the Academy Awards. ‘Hollywood treasure’ Jerry O’Connell leads the cast of the film through their reasons why Piranha 3D should be nominated for well, everything.
