Predators Sneak Peak Goes Live

The sneak peak of Predators, which debuted at the South by Southwest Film Festival Friday night, has hit the web. The video is introduced and narrated by producer Robert Rodriguez, and combines behind-the-scenes footage with actual footage from the finished film. There is also some cool concept art thrown in for good measure.

Captain America Finds Its Villain

... And it's Hugo Weaving. The Hollywood Reporter got the exclusive scoop that Weaving is currently in talks to play the villain in the Joe Johnston directed film. And while the deal is in a 'delicate' place, there should be some sort of announcement in the next few days.

Final Robin Hood Trailer is Epic

While I have some reservations about making a story "gritty" for gritty's sake, I have to admit, this film actually looks pretty awesome. And by awesome, I mean ridiculously epic. If you weren't convinced about this project before, maybe you will be after this trailer. Plus, it's Ridley Scott. Robin Hood will go wide on May 14th, 2010.

DVD Deal: Futurama Collection for $85

Okay this is pretty cool for two reasons. First off, this box set is a Comic Con Exclusive, meaning not only is it a limited edition, but it's not especially easy to find offline. Secondly, it's all four volumes of Futurama, as well as the four movies (Bender´s Big Score, The Beast With A Billion Backs, Bender´s Game, Into the Wild Green Yonde) on 19 freaking discs. All of that for 58% off, a very reasonable $84.99.

This is Fun: The Beastie Boys' Sabotage Meets Battlestar Galactica

The Beastie Boys' "Sabotage" may have risen (further) in Geekdom thanks in large part to J.J. Abrams Star Trek. Well now we have even more reason to dust off those old CDs (I know you have them) after watching youtube's katamaran78 “Galactica: Sabotage.” The video is a nearly shot-for-shot recreation of the original video for "Sabotage" using footage from the reimagined BSG. Check out the music video, and a side-by-side comparison, below:

Ultramines Movie Secures Ultra Cast

Codex Pictures adaptation of the popular tabletop game, Warhammer 40,000, was first announced back in September. They told us it would be focused on the Ultramarines and would be an animated affair, using state-of-the-art production techniques and CGI to bring the Warhammer 40K world to life.

This is Fun: Mad Hatter Rap

Creepy, funny, awesome costumes, this is one brilliant fan video. I'm not even really sure how to describe this video, other than a very odd, but very well written, rap performed by Alice in Wonderland's the Mad Hatter. It's not LOL hilarious, but it's definitely worth it just for the crazy lyrical stylings of a very accurate looking Mad Hatter.

Inception: Plot Details, Running Time Confirmed

Inception, Chris Nolan's next, is way up on my list of movies I can't wait to blow my mind this year. We've recieved two small bits of info, mainly some confirmed plot details and a running time.

Battlestar Galactica Getting an MMO

Hmm... interesting, possibly terrible, but interesting nonetheless. German browser games developers Bigpoint are making an MMO based on the incredible reimagined Battlestar Galactica tv series. It's being developed in the Unity engine as a browser-based 3D game, which already lowers my expectations considerably. Players will be able to play as either cylons or humans in a "blend of tactical space combat, exploration, and mission-based gameplay."

Logorama Directors Move On to Slightly Bigger Things

Directors Francois Alaux and Herve de Crecy of the Oscar winning short, Logorama, have upgraded themselves from a 16-minute animated short to a 20-minute live-action film.  They have been signed on to direct the live-action “Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Future Soldier” movie Hollywood Reporter is reporting.
