Omid's Rant Box #3: F**k You Horror Movies

Dear creators of horror films:

STOP! I mean it with all my heart. STOP! for the love of God STOP!

I am not joking, and this is not a rant. This is me telling you that you are ruining immature minds of little kids with your stupid stupid STUPID movies. Psychopaths in this world do not need a visualization of how they can torture and kill someone. You have taken a form of art and you have transformed it into "How can I kill a human in the most gruesome way possible". In fact, your whole genre would be s**t if special effects were not created. You give advice to lunatics, and you hand them idols to worship. The scripts of your movies are so horrible that I think it would be best if you gave them to truck drivers so that they may use it as toilet paper whenever the roadside gas stations run out. Your characterizations have reduced teenagers into morons, white people into extreme morons, and black people into comedian morons. What you have done to cinema can never be undone. So please, just stop it. STOP IT!

I went on CNN's website today. I was looking to read more on the New York plane crash. I thought to myself "Surely that is the headliner in the news. It has to be since so many people died". Do you know what I got instead you SOBs? I GOT TO SEE A PICTURE OF THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY KILLER WITH A JIGSAW PUPPET MASK ON!! How do you sleep at night you pricks?? How do you sleep at night knowing you fueled this monster? I lose at least two hours of sleep every week just wondering if I have said a hurtful statement to someone. How do you sleep every night knowing that you pushed a psycho into insanity? Knowing that you played a part in the death of another human being?? Do you understand that life is not about making money? You have seriously turned movies into something idiots would watch. Everyone of your movies are created by using the following formula:

Nudity + Blood = Money

So you know what? I am going to take a stand on this. I am boycotting ANY and ALL of your movies from this day forward. Its not gunna be that hard either. My life is probably going to be way better without your crappy work in front of my face every halloween.

I hate your movies. I hate your scripts. I hate the characters you create. I hate your plot lines. I hate your endings. I hate your camera angles. I hate your use of art as a money making machine. I hate anything you release. I hate the companies that pay you to make your s**ty movies. I hate your writers. I hate how you turn everyone into idiots for 2 hours. And finally, oh I've been waiting to say this since I started writing this article,:

If you are going to write a comment that resembles "But Omid, I dont think you understand, Saw was one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life" please just don't bother and do not talk to me ever again because I hate you too..

If you are going to write a comment that resembles" But Omid, Movies like Psycho are good pieces of film" I understand that, and this article is only aimed at those movies that use special effects to create a poor excuse for a movie. You know, those movies where most of the script is written as:

"White girl in her bikini screams "AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" While the killer slashes her throat graphically with a sharp piece of glass."

If you agree with what I say, then join me in boycotting the works of these stupid morons. Do not pay them your 10 dollars, because you know what, they don't deserve it. They did not work hard on their films, and their scripts can be written by a psychotic five year old.
