Associate Editors

Kyle MacKinnon
Mackormoses

Mack is the 8th-circuit's go-to guy for all things Nintendo. If it's super, it shames, or you can swing a Wiimote at it, Mack's got it covered. He is the author of the semi-regular news roundup, "".

While Kyle is entirely badass - beating down Ninjas with only his left sock, stealing candy from babies, and harvesting the souls of pretty much everything - that doesn't mean he isn't also awesome. His time on the 8th is spent writing on Nintendo related stuff. You can find reviews, previews,  news, editorials, and even the odd rant right here. Nintendo may be his passion, but he's been known to step out into the realm of album reviews from time to time as well, with a focus on more popular music, and not the Indie side of things. All in a day's work for an awesome badass like Mack.

Sanni Wehbe

Locknflow

Sanni contributes on many topics, ranging from gaming to music to martial arts. In addition to his writing, Sanni is a regular on the forums and is part of the 8th-circuit's regular con team.

Enjoys mixed martial arts, browsing the internet ,video games and FOOD! Can most likely be found training or eating. Go MMA!

Omid Amidi

Omid Amidi

A regular host on the Circuitcast, Omid is typically known for breaking things and causing technical difficulties. If something is wrong on the site, it's a safe bet to blame Omid. In addition to creating chaos, Omid is a talented if infrequent author, contributing opinions on Xbox gaming, music and more.

Is a musician and also an avid Xbox 360 gamer. He plays both guitar and piano, and sometimes even drums depending on how many people are playing Rock Band. His favorite games are the Halo series, the Gears of War series, the Fear series, and the Fable series. His favorite movies include The Dark Knight, Versus, and Fight Club. He does not care about criticism, so please, feel free to shoot him down every time he puts up an article.

Lyz Reblin
Lyz Reblin

Lyz Reblin is a movie reviewing machine. In addition to her prolific reviewing skills, Lyz also maintains the popular column, , guaranteeing you will never be without some awesome recommendations.

Lyz Reblin is a sophomore at Chapman University studying screenwriting. When she isn’t procrastinating on her own personal blog (http://lyzreblin.blogspot.com), she likes to hide at the movie theatre, play RPGs, and suck at most video games like Halo and Resident Evil.

Gary Girod

grod87

Gary is our resident literary expert and contributes the weekly column, "" as well as the occasional novel spotlight, "".

Is a junior at Chapman University, striving to a achieve a bachelors in European history and eventually a Ph.D if he doesn't make it rich (insert doomed scheme here). Gary is a geek/nerd and while his video-gaming experience is currently limited to the PS3 and whatever game he can find online for his slow-as-hell laptop, he still manage to find other outlets for his geekness.

Gary won't go into what his favorite movies or tv shows because a) they are numerous and insanely diverse, and b) until he become famous he doubts anyone cares. Same with music, although he needs to add that he may be a prick in that he can never seem to be loyal to any artist or band. One screw-up or sell-out and he turns on them, never to listen to any of their new music again!

Kyle Storms

kstormy

Kyle is a Sophomore at Chapman University trudging his way through a Digital Arts Major and a Minor in Business Admin. In his spare time he enjoys (insert hobby of the week here), Photography, working out, and eating copious amounts of unhealthy food. His favorite bands that will never succumb to his wavering tastes and dislikes are Blink-182, Nirvana, Local H, and Rise Against. For more information about his favorite music, steal his iPod (seriously, don’t).

Will Hellwarth

the artificial fool

A worshipper at the altar of the penny arcade, Will is a budding game designer/programmer/artist because you just have to do everything these days. While not channeling the energy of the universe through his mind’s eye, he can be found playing and ranting about videogames, complaining about “The Man,” and on Sawtelle Boulevard gorging himself on ramen. A city slicker from L.A. he doesn’t feel comfortable when not irradiated from all directions by technology. He has an unhealthy obsession with Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, and anything by Team Ico. He also has been known to bite people who disagree. Somday he’s gonna fix this whole industry thing, but for now, Will is biding his time.

Trevor Lincoln

travelinbear

Trevor was born on the same day that E.T. came out in 1982.  After a daring escape from San Diego, he and his teddy bear Punton traveled around the world, visiting places like England, France, Germany, Japan, and Australia, among others.  From time to time, they sit down to make a new entry in Travelin’ Bear, a series of written articles documenting their travels.

Currently, Trevor is writing many things, including articles and screenplays.  He enjoys playing Xbox 360, strumming his guitar, and preparing for the Zombie Apocalypse.  Punton enjoys fondue and is currently running for President of Orange County.

In Loving Memory

Brendan Kutler

Mlarg

Brendan is our resident Indie music mogul and author of the "Music Videos of the week column" and is also a regular host on the Circuitcast.

An avid collector of international indie rock (from Sweden and Russia to Japan and Barcelona) and RTS/RPG games, yet not one to pass up a mindless FPS once in a while, Brendan is a mixed bag. He enjoys photography, photomanipulation, and graphic design (if you don't like the banners, blame this guy) as well as playing tennis and reading history books. He can often be seen arguing with his friends over the internet's logical inconsistencies and scouring the web for new music videos and songs to add to his black hole of a hard drive. All in all though, he's a pretty normal guy. Oh, we forgot to mention: he also wears two hats. Yeah, we take that back... he's actually pretty strange. Strangely awesome.
