THE 8TH-CIRCUIT NETWORK

In your delirious 3 AM link clicking ("just one more"), you come across a page of awesome. Evil, nerdiness, pretension, and mindlessness all lurk here: all you could ever ask from a publication. You set it as your home page.

The next afternoon, you wake from your slumber to be reunited with your beloved internet. You notice your home page is different from what it was last week. Your groggy afternoon mind may not remember the awesome enlightenment of late, late night (there's no such thing as morning) Internet browsing, so that's what this "about" blurb is for.

We at 8th-Circuit aim for nothing less than world domination. We seduce the masses by regaling them with tales about our adventures in front of a glowing screen. We love the screen: it allows us to commune with games, television, movies, and random stuff on the Internet. The epics you will find on these pages surpass those of Homer; these are the cliff notes to enlightenment. So go frolic, young one.

This site was founded with the intention of being a true independent source of entertainment opinions. The 8th-Circuit is a collection of bloggers, writers, reviewers, journalists and just general fans of entertainment media in general. The site was founded in the summer of 2008 with the idea in mind that entertainment genres are not separate entities. Gamers are often keen moviegoers, music lovers are just as likely to be avid readers, etc.

From the get-go, the 8th-Circuit has strived to be more than just a place to check out some opinions on the entertainment industry, we're a community. A place where you can meet and interact with a wide variety of people and interests, and where you always have a place to share your opinion. While we do have a staff of regular writers and editors, the 8th-Circuit prides itself on community interaction. Not only do we accept user submitted articles, we openly encourage it and have even provided personal blogspace to all of our registered users. So what are you waiting for, join us!
