Comic-Con 09

Iron Man 2's Comic-Con Footage Leaked

It's a very leaky day it would seem. In addition to Comic-Con's Kick Ass footage, we also have a look at the bits of Iron Man 2 that was screened. I'm sure by now that even those of you who weren't at the panel know basically what happens in the trailer, but it's still kind of cool to see it. Enjoy some Nick Fury, Mickey Rourke, explosions and War Machine being a total badass.

Kick Ass Comic-Con Footage Leaked

Although Comic-Con was filled to the brim with awesome footage of awesome things, one film in particular seemed to be on everyone's minds, Kick Ass. The film follows Dave Lizewski, a highschool comic book geek who decides to become a super-hero for some random reason. It's been a while since Comic-Con, but bootlegged footage of the trailer has just found it's way online. Enjoy it fast, who knows how long it will stay up.

CC09: Black Dynamite Roundtable

This past weekend at Comic-Con I had the privelage of attending a roundtable with Michael Jai White and Scott Sanders, the star and director respectively for Black Dynamite. Let me just say, sitting across a table from people as talented and badass as those two was quite a privilege. Below are some of the highlights of the interview, enjoy. Black Dynamite has been picked up by Sony and locked in for October 16th release.

CC09: Dr. Tran - Fruit Hat

So apparently Breehn Burns, creator of Dr. Tran, premiers his animated shorts at Comic-Con. Why wasn't I informed of this!? You're all fired! Anyways, we're all lucky enough to now have his newest Dr. Tran video available on youtube. Prepare yourself for more action, adventure and romance than you can wrap your minds around; enjoy:

CC09: Picture Galleries

Since you guys enjoyed our AX galleries we decided to give you a look at some of the stuff we saw at Comic-Con this year. I hope you enjoy it! And don't forget to check our official CC HQ as our post-con coverage continues all this week.

CC09: Notes from the "Astro Boy" Panel

The Astro Boy panel at this year’s Comic Con opened with a special sneak peak from the upcoming movie.  There was a lot of talk about adapting the original futuristic view for today’s audience, as well as character updates, including adding a new character, Cora.

CC09: Prisoner to Suspense, AMC's "The Prisoner" Panel

I woke up in a cold sweat with aching bones, feeling like a pissed off, hungover (translation: normal day) Warren Ellis at Comic-Con. Looking down I spotted a small badge with the number 1336 on it. Just my luck. Fortunately, this was the only disappointment of The Prisoner panel.

Part 4: Roots and Legends

The Sunday, the final day of every Comic-Con, is when the zombies start to show up. I’m not talking about the folks in full bloody makeup and wardrobe (although there are plenty of those), but of the general mood of the dwindling crowd still willing to wander the exhibits and panels for just a few more hours before the plane ride home. We were no exception. By that point, we had gone three days with less than five hours of sleep, and each day had been spent standing in line and walking around until our feet were horribly blistered.

CC09: Avatar Day is August 21st

I caught this one a little late, but luckily, we've still got time. Get your calenders out people and mark August 21st. Then, go out and buy a second calender, also mark August 21st. Trust me, you're going to want to remember this date. Do it! Do it now!

CC09: Iron Man Comic-Con Footage Gets Sweded

This is worth a plug. If you're like me and you were forced to miss the Iron Man 2 panel, you're probably kicking yourself right now. Well, some dedicated fans have gotten together to bring us a consolation gift, the Iron Man preview footage, sweded. It's like I'm watching the real thing. Only... not.
