You are hereNic Cage
DreamWorks animation is moving forward with a sequel to their caveman hit, The Croods. The studio is reportedly in negotiations with the key voice stars for their return. That list includes Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Catherine Keener, Ryan Reynolds, Clark Duke and Cloris Lechman. Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders, who wrote and directed the original, will also be returning for the second film.
Nic Cage is a busy, busy man, with roles in movies such as Joe and Left Behind being just a few of his upcoming projects. He's somehow found room in his schedule for one more though, picking up the leading part in Tokarev, a crime thriller that has Cage trying to rescue his kidnapped daughter. I'm pretty much just imagining Taken, but with a lot more yelling.
David Gordon Green might be the director of Pineapple Express, Your Highness, and The Sitter, but by all accounts his latest is quite the drama. Joe follows Joe Ransom, an ex-con who forges an unlikely friendship with a troubled teen in a small Texas town. Check out an image from the film below.
Nic Cage is continuing his quest to star in every movie ever, with visual confirmation that he is indeed going to be in the Left Behind reboot. The film is based on the Christian book series that popularized the idea of an apocalyptic "Rapture." While there have already been three film adaptations of the series, this one is reportedly starting fresh, meaning we just might get to see Cage also star in the 15 other books. Check out the poster below. Hollywood is really testing the limits of my, "I can enjoy anything with Nic Cage in it," theory.
Merry Cagemas! Tis the season for gifts, caroling, and Ghost Rider marathons. Here's to you, you magnificent human being.
I’m actually surprised that, in a column that reviews straight to DVD and limited releases, we’re just now getting to a Nic Cage movie. In case you didn’t know, Cage (or Cage Match, as I call him) has been on a slow train to B-movie town for the past few years…or more. His latest stop along the way is the action thriller, Stolen. "Strap in. It’s about to get awesome," he typed sarcastically.

Nicolas Cage is at it again. The Oscar winner and eccentric character has signed on to star in the reboot/adaptation of the Left Behind series. The original trilogy of films starred Kirk Cameron, a faithful Christian, and went over relatively well for its limited budget and release. My guess is that Nicolas Cage is counting on his star power to make this film a hit. At this point, audiences go to theaters just to see what the heck the actor has put his name on now.
It's been a really slow news weekend, so here's a video about Nicolas Cage. You've earned it you beautiful readers, you've earned it all.
