Bad Robot Wants Stephen King Novel '11/22/63' for Television Series

J. J. Abrams’ Bad Robot is hoping for the chance to turn the Stephen King novel 11/22/63 into a new television series. The right previously belonged to Jonathan Demme who had planned to adapt the novel for the silver screen.

'Jurassic Park 4' Will Have a Special Cameo

Jurassic Park raised the question, What would happen if dinosaurs lived in the present?” The novel by Michael Crichton, later adapted into a film by Crichton and Steven Spielberg, showed us that this idea, as awesome as it sounds, might not be a good one. Jurassic Park 4, slated for a June 2014 release, will feature a new, never before seen dinosaur.

ComicsAlliance Shuts Down

This is heart breaking news for all comic fans, but the comic book website ComicsAlliance has been shut down by its parent company AOL. This was part of a larger company purge, alongside the closing of AOL Music and several video sites. The three-time Eisner Award nominee was started in 2009 by Laura Hudson, mixing humor with comic news and reviews. Their sponsored podcast, War Rocket Ajax, is currently being posted independently.

Reboot the DC Reboot Part 2: Green Lantern

Hal Jordan. Seriously, whoever is the Green Lantern in The New 52 is not Hal Jordan.  Hal Jordan does not insult people.  He is not a jerk.  He does not exclude people based on lack of powers or similar colors alone.  He is not a clown.

C2E2: 'ElfQuest' Returns To Print With Dark Horse

In celebration of its 35th anniversary, ElfQuest is coming to Dark Horse Comics with a new story and an aggressive publishing program that will bring both new and existing material to a new generation of readers.  The first release arrives in the fall and will be a prologue to ElfQuest: The Final Quest.

Marvel vs. DC II Part 2: Batman vs Spider-Man

Welcome to another Marvel vs. DC fight to the finish. Before we go over last week's winner in the fight between The Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) and Quasar (Wendell Vaughn), let me just say that I was pleasantly surprised by the types of responses we received. Also, if you have no idea what I'm talking about, check out part one HERE and find out why this battle was just so hard to judge. For those of you who have been waiting to hear just who won, let me just say it was so close I almost had to declare a draw. Without further adieu, here is your winner...

Reboot the DC Reboot Part 1: Batman

Batman. I'm not saying DC shouldn’t have Batman.  DC without Batman is like McDonalds saying "what fries?" Batman can easily play a lot of different roles in your story.  He can be camp, depressing, an action hero, a ninja… heck he works as a communist, a vampire, and even as a Green Lantern. But he simply doesn’t work if you make no sense.

DC Introduces... Joker's Daughter?

On their official website, DC Comics featured a single preview picture this week, posted under the title, What’s New in the New 52 – Jokers Daughter ?!.
