Since He Became A Filmmaker. Some pretty good ones here, some others that ehhh... I wouldn't agree with so much.

Not that I'm surprised, but there are a lot of Asian films on this list.  Also, I could totally see Tarantino directing Battle Royale, but no American studio would touch it with a 30 ft pole.  And I think it's funny that he should say Unbreakable is Bruce Willis' best performance, because I would contend that was his role as Butch in Pulp Fiction.

Battle Royale number one? I honestly didn't really think that movie was that good. Maybe its just the novel was far far superior, but I wouldn't even put that on my top 20, let alone number one. Oh well, his opinion, I guess.

BATTLE ROYALE was trash straight up.

Though Tarantino would probably treat it right if he was to remake the thing.  Doc Brown nailed it though, no American studiol wants to have a movie about murderous freshmen on their roster.

it would be pretty damn cool though.....hollywood likes the idea but just with degenerates and 'bad' people ie death race and running man. if somehow they could frame all the freshman in a murder before they enter battle royale then hey hollywood would jump on it in a snap

I am very curious about the reception of KICKASS.  That film has a foul-mouthed 10 year old assassin (I am talking VICIOUS KILLS).  A movie like that could cause a sway in the pendulum.

Or not.

Nicolas Cage is in it, and he ruins everything he is near.  This film might just crumble underneath his curse.

The reaction to the trailer at Comic-Con was really massive and unexpected, if that means anything. I didn't personally get to see a HQ version, but I've heard nothing but good things. If you do a search on the main site, the leaked cam version might still be up.

My friend volunteers for Creative Screenwriting. He got me into a screening of Inglorious Basterds that Tarantino was attending. I raised my hand, got picked, and asked the question based on what I read on this site.
