Okay, we all know that arcades have some of the best fighting games around and nothing beats the experience of standing next to the guy you're beating the crap out of So tell, me what would you say is the top arcade fighting game? Currently or all-time, doesn't matter just in terms of balance, characters, story overall fun, etc. I'd have to say my all-time favorite is a tie between Soul Calibur 2 and Marvel vs Capcom 2.

Well despite the fact that Marvel vs Capcom 2 is amazing (almost ridiculously) I'd have to say my favorite is still the original Street Fighter. Besides Raiden, that game ate up so many of my quarters that I would probably be able to pay myself through school had I not played it. Of course, if I hadn't played it, I wouldn't be nearly as happy; that game was too kickass.

I am shocked that there is no TEKKEN love up in here.

Not that I am a fan of T6 or anything.  I suppose I will be when it drops for the PSP.

TEKKEN TAG is immortal in my mind.  It was the one game that hit all of the right notes.

Though I have to agree that MVC2 is one of the best fighters on the planet PERIOD.

I also put in a lot of CERVANTES time in the Soul Calibur series.
