Apollo 18 Trailer Released, is the Reason We’ve Never Gone Back To The Moon
Dimension Films have released the first bit of footage for Apollo 18, the Timur Bekmambetov produced film by debut director Gonzalo López-Gallego. The film is being presented as real "found footage" of an undocumented "Apollo 18" mission to the moon. As you might expect, shenanigans ensue. And by shenanigans, I mean death. Death shenanigans.
I really dig the premise of the film, and it does look pretty creepy, although honestly I'm getting a few Fourth Kind vibes. Paranormal Activity got away with presenting the footage as "real" in the film, but they didn't just flat out say it. That sort of advertising seems a little obnoxious to me, and is one of the reasons I found The Fourth Kind to be so insultingly dumb. Hopefully the fact that Bekmambetov is involved can insure a bit of quality goes into the final product.
Check out the trailer below and let me know what you think!

I'm sorry, a secret space launch. That goes beyond my suspension of disbelief. Where the heck do you launch a spaceship without anyone noticing? This movie would be so much better if they just set it in the future and forgot this whole "that's why we never returned to the moon" concept.
