Michael Bay and Megan Fox Teaming Up Again for 'Ninja Turtles'

Megan Fox and Michael Bay have not had the smoothest of working relationships. After a series of spats, Bay famously dropped Fox from the third Transformer film. Megan Fox isn't generally known as the greatest actress around, but I think we can all agree she made a better love interest than Rosie Huntington-Whiteley did in Transformers 3. In any case, it seems the two have finally made up, with Bay announcing that Fox will joining the upcoming Ninja Turtles reboot.

Bay made the announcement on his personal website writing, "TMNT: we are bringing Megan Fox back into the family!"

Variety later confirmed that Fox will be playing April O'Neil, and that the studio met with and passed on actresses including Jane Levy, Anna Kendrick, and Elizabeth Olsen. While I can't agree that Fox would make a better April than Anna Kendrick, it's the role that would make the most sense for her in this movie.

Paramount halted the project last summer to give the script more time, however an older draft of the screenplay followed Casey Jones, a security guard and amateur hockey player, with the Turtles serving as side characters (think Shia LaBeouf and the Transformers). Granted, Bay and his team took a lot of heat for that leaked script, so it may have changed significantly between then and now.

The film is expected to hit production in April, with a release date of May 16, 2014.
