OnLive Might be Calling it Quits, Fires Entire Staff

Well, maybe it's a good thing that GameStop is getting into the streaming content business, because OnLive might not be feeling so well. According to reports from inside the soon-to-be ex-company, the entire staff was laid off earlier this morning. Apparently, the service is planning some sort of major transition, although one can assume it won't very much resemble the previous OnLive if everyone there is gone.

A company spokesperson commented that OnLive game streaming as it is will continue, which is good news for the Ouya which recently picked up the service's support. That confidence is a little bit hard to believe in though, considering the company just filed for a form of bankruptcy, and laid off everyone employed. A select group of employees will be brought back when (if) OnLive manages to reform, so, business as usual hopefully.

I have yet to try OnLive, mostly because my Internet connection is balls. Have you though? Will you be sad if OnLive kicks the bucket?
