Superman Villainess Shortlisted to Alice Eve, Diane Kruger and Rosamund Pike

Zack Snyder's upcoming Superman reboot has been doing some casting of its own lately. Earlier this week, news leaked that Alice Eve, Diane Kruger, and Rosamund Pike were being considered for a role in this in the film. Latino Review is now reporting that the role in question is a villainess named Ursa, General Zod's second-in-command. 

The character also appeared in Richard Donner's Superman and Superman II along with General Zod. She is not in fact a character original to the comics. Interestingly, Snyder has previously knocked down rumors that Zod would appear in the film. It doesn't seem right though that Ursa would be in the film without him. If Snyder is to believed, perhaps the role is only a cameo or bit part.

LR also reports that Lois Lane will appear in the film, although no casting decision has been made yet.
