'Walking Dead' FPS to Arrive in 2013
If you haven't had a chance to try it yet, Telltale's Walking Dead game is pretty awesome. If its "adventure"-styled gameplay doesn't quite float your zombie boat however, Activision has announced today that they'll be publishing a FPS based on the comic turned television program. The game will star the Dixon brothers prior to the events of the show, as they try to make their way to a rumored safe zone in Atlanta.
The game will combine stealth and shooting mechanics, with your character having the ability to sneak past zombies instead of engaging them. This makes sense, because as you might expect, ammo and other supplies are very limited. The idea of a first-person survival horror shooter is pretty exciting, and the world of The Walking Dead is a perfect setting for such a genre mash-up. Character interaction will also play an important role, with players tackling the moral dilemma of what to do with other survivors encountered on the way.
The game will be developed by Terminal Reality, the developers behind Ghostbusters: The Video Game, and at the moment, is simply titled The Walking Dead Video Game. You can expect to be cross-bowing zombies sometime in 2013. Until then, check out the teaser below.
