Deus Ex Turns 10: Steam Nearly Giving it Away

I'm going to make this brief, as I'm a little bit late getting on this piece of news. Yesterday marked the 10 year anniversary of the legendary classic, Deus Ex, and Steam wants you to give it another go. Until 3PM today (Wed the 23rd), you can get Deus Ex: GOTY Edition and the sequel, Deus Ex: Invisible War, for only $2.50 each. Holy crap right? Again, 3PM today, so get on that before you forget!

The Fall of Reach to be Told in Comic Form

Marvel Comics and 343 Industries have just announced that the novel, Halo:Fall of Reach, is set to be adapted into a 'graphic fiction event' with the first issue, dubbed Halo: Fall of Reach "Boot Camp #1," hitting shelves this fall. Writer Brian Reed and artist Felix Ruiz are behind the series.

E3 2010: Final Fantasy XIV Hands-on

You got your WoW in my Final Fantasy Online

At E3 2010, Square Enix showed off the Beta version of Final Fantasy XIV to members of the Media and yours truly got a chance to check it out.  The game has been in development for quite some time now, and now that it has made it into Beta , we can now get a better feel what the finished product is going to be like. One thing I could tell right off the bat from the character creation demo that we got to play around with was that this game has come a long way since its Alpha version and is shaping up to be something special. Square Enix has really taken note of the current MMO market and it has included many elements from games such as World of Warcraft, making it a lot more user friendly than the hardcore Final Fantasy XI, yet keeping it's own charm while adding new things to the standard MMO formula.

Exclusive: Interview with Brandon Ford, Lead Concept Artist for Comic Jumper

Comic Jumper: The Adventures of Captain Smiley is the upcoming game from Splosion Man developer, Twisted Pixel. The game sees you taking control of Captain Smiley, a superhero who must jump into six different comic books to help fix the plot. The comics take inspiration from manga, classic Silver Age comics, more modern tales, and Conan-esque fantasy comics to present a whole bunch of unique game worlds for you to play in. It seriously sounds like any comic book lover's dream, and for that reason, I got in touch with Twisted Pixel for an interview. Luckily, Brandon Ford, the lead concept artist on the project, was able to answer my questions for me.

Zombies in Threedeee: Resident Evil: Revelations Trailer

Also new from Capcom is the public release of the trailer they showed off at E3. The video was part of the 3DS hands-on, showing off a bit of the game in the third dimension. According to Matt, Revelation's 3D was the best of the bunch; and according to everyone else in the party, it was the worst. So take that as you will.

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition Gets Some Screens

Nintendo's 3DS appropriately stole the show at E3 last week, and Capcom was quick to follow it up with the announcement that they would be producing two new titles for the future platform. Just a little while ago, the first in-game screen shots of the one of those games, Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition (that's a mouthful) were released, and they look pretty damn awesome.

E3: Game Trailer for Tron: Evolution

Sometime during E3, Disney Interactive released a very pretty cinematic trailer for their upcoming video game tie-in for Tron. I didn't get a chance to play it, but I did see it in action during the expo, and I'll be honest... it didn't look as good as this trailer. Still, it did look pretty fun, and the Wii version had some crazy multiplayer stuff going on. Check out the trailer below and expect it to be out on November 1st for pretty much every platform ever (yeah, it's one of those).

E3 2010: Toy Story 3 Flash Mob

So apparently there was a Toy Story 3 flash mob at E3... how in the heck did I miss that? Let's see, Tuesday the 15th at 11:45? That places me squarely... nowhere in particular. Which begs the questions, where was I and what was I doing? I have no idea. Man... cocaine's a hell of a drug. Check out the flash mob below though, the level of choreography is actually pretty impressive.

This is Fun: Kingdom Hearts at Disneyland

Totally awesome KH fan AcmePunched, of the Disneyland forum MiceChat, made a pretty accurate looking keyblade and decided to have some fun with it. In a stroke of brilliance, she took the piece to Disneyland where she photographed various characters posing with it.

8th Circuit @ E3 2010: Day 1

Although it's late (blame Omid, then blame me), we finally have the first day of our E3 coverage up.  You'll see our mini-interviews with SOE and Ubisoft and a whole ton of 8th Circuit professionals.  I talk a little about TERA, but you can check out my more in depth First Impression.  Ryan also gives us his thoughts on the NoS energy drink.  Hilarious.  The other videos will follow shortly over the next couple days, but check out the video below.
