New Halo Trilogy Set for 2012 [E3]
Oh hey, more Halo. Surprised? You probably shouldn't be. Halo 4 will be "part of a new trilogy" due out sometime in 2012. And yes, Master Chief will be back. Check out the E3 teaser below.
Take a First Look at Hitman: Absolution
Well, at least I think they're screenshots. Well, maybe "hope" would be a better word to use there. Because damn, they look really good. Hitman: Blood Money is one of my favorite games to date, and while it was nice that the series ended on a high note, I'm still absolutely psyched for this sequel. Check out the screens ("screens"?)below, Hitman: Absolution launches sometime in 2012.
Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD Get Dated, Trailered
Unfortunately, that date is for the Japan release. But consider this a little preview of what's to come for us in the states. The HD revamps of Ico and Shadow of the Colossus will be released on September 22 for the surprisingly high price of ¥3,980 (around $49).
The Old Republic Shows Off Its Feature List in E3 Trailer
Bioware's E3 offering for The Old Republic is less of a trailer and more of a list of features; a very pretty list of features that is. Cinematic storytelling, companion characters, personal starships, space battles, PVP, and more are all shown off, watch it below. A solid release date has yet to be set, although rumor has it that it will be ready for a 2011 release.
XCOM E3 Trailer Shows Off Some Alien Tech
Wow, last year's E3 was pretty much the last time we've heard anything about this game. It's good to know that things are still chugging along behind the scenes though, as evidenced by a new trailer just in time for this year's E3. It's looking a lot more typical 'shooty-shooty-bang-bang' action than I had previously imagined, but I'm still really digging the look of the setting and the aliens. Also, there's a few glimpses of trailer-you ordering around some squad-mates, so that's pretty neat. Check out the trailer below; XCOM is currently set for a March 12, 2012 release date.
Tomb Raider Gets Rebooted in New E3 Trailer
As with every year, E3's starting early with a whole bunch of new trailers. One of the most promising (and certainly among the prettiest) is for the upcoming reboot of the Tomb Raider series. Sure it's a cinematic trailer, and obviously the actual game won't look quite that good. But still, it's one fine teaser. Check it out below, the game is currently set for a very vague Q3 2012 release window.
'The Lord of the Rings: Live In Concert' Coming to the West Coast
In celebration of the film trilogy's upcoming ten year anniversary, 'The Lord of the Rings: Live In Concert' will finally be making its way to the west coast states. The live, full orchestral performance of Howard Shore's scores is kicking off its tour with ten shows, set to feature the music of the first film, The Fellowship of the Ring. The show features a feature length, digital presentation of the film on a 60 foot screen while the Munich Symphony Orchestra, Pacific Chorale and the Phoenix Boys Choir perform the score live. It originally premiered in 2009 in New York, so it's a pretty awesome opportunity to finally get a chance to hear the music performed live. Read on for a full list of the concert tour stops and dates.
Deus Ex is Best Served Cold in New 'Revenge' Trailer
Ooh, pretty. Another new Deus Ex trailer has been released (what is this, like a dozen now?) and it's pretty cool as you might expect. Not a lot of new new stuff here, but definitely a good mix of gameplay and those lovely cinematics. Check out Deus Ex: Human Revolution being all dark and violent and all that stuff it's good at below. The game launches later this year on August 23.
The Next UFC Game will Have Pride Rules, 50 More Fighters, Bas Rutten
THQ looks like it's doing everything it can to stamp out any potential competitors with the upcoming UFC 3, the next iteration of the previously named UFC Undisputed franchise. If you don't follow the sport to closely, you might not have known that the real UFC has recently purchased one of its biggest competitors, Strikeforce, who own the contracts for most of the roster of fighters in EA Sports MMA. Since THQ and the UFC have an exclusive contract together, that pretty much sinks any hope of EA competing with the UFC branded game line. Still, that's not stopping THQ from really trying to up the ante with the next installment, as a recent press release has announced quite a few exciting new features.

Oh snap, less than two weeks till what we can only hope is American McGee's return to glory. In preparation for Alice: Madness Returns' June 14th release, a crazy weird (and crazy cool) launch trailer has been released, brimming with crazy visuals and crazy gameplay (there's just a lot of crazy going on). Check it out below.
