This is Awesome: Mass Effect 2 and The Walking Dead Get Better?

Mass Effect 2 and The Walking Dead are two very different but very awesome properties. While they are both very good at what they do there are obviously a few people who think they are not realizing their full potential and have deiced to show them where they can take the projects in the future.

Mass Effect 2: DLC and Demo on June 15

Microsoft's most recent "Coming Soon" post lists a June 15th release date for an upcoming piece of Mass Effect 2 DLC, Overlord. Along with it, a demo is on the way if for whatever reason you haven't gotten a chance to try it. DLC description below:

Mass Effect DLC to Connect Second and Third Games

In an interview with Videogamer, Bioware bigwig Casey Hudson has revealed that one, there will be plenty more ME2 DLC on the way, and secondly, that it will eventually bridge the gap between 2 and 3. As long as this doesn't turn into another Mass Effect 1 situation, then that sounds pretty good to me.

Bioware Reveals a Mysterious Countdown

Countdown timers are no stranger to gamers. What makes this latest one posted by Bioware is the location of the timer. Or should I say, locations of the timers. Appearing on the BioWare's home page, as well as Mass Effect's, one would think that the most likely scenario is some new DLC announcement. However, the timer also appears on the Dragon Age page, and strangely enough, not on The Old Republic's.

ME2: Planetary Scanning Gets a Hip-hop Remix

Mass Effect 2 was a great game, that much I'm sure of. However, that doesn't mean it was all great. I'm at looking at you planet scanning mini-game... Well fortunately, some good came of that mind-numbing affair, in the form of a fan-made Hip-hop track. "Those Minerals", by Kabuto the Python, is pretty freakin' hilarious, combining sound from the game, as well as some bits from the English gangster movie Snatch, and some Star Wars for good measure. You can listen to and download the track for free at Tindeck, enjoy!

ME2Endings: Shepard Was Dead All Along

Gabe of Penny Arcade recently caught a bit of Twitter-flak when he posted some vague details about his experience in the last segment of Mass Effect 2. A number of angry tweeters soon accused him of "spoiling" the ending of the game. In his defense he stated:

@cwgabriel: every persons game will be different. There are a hundred different decisions to make. There is no way I could spoil your specific game.

In an awesome display that will surely become a Trending Topic soon enough, a number of users jumped on bandwagon, "spoiling" the ending of the game. I've posted some of my favorites below, but you can check out all of them as they are posted at #me2endings, and if you're a Twitter user, why not join in the fun?

New Mass Effect 2 Cinematic Trailer

A new Mass Effect 2 cinematic trailer hit the web last night, and it does look pretty. The video shows a man and a woman watching Shepard gather his team from the far reaches of the galaxy. I'm not very up-to-date with my Mass Effect 2 lore, so I have no idea who these people are or what they do/do not have to do with the Reapers. Either way, the trailer's still pretty cool, promising a full length version on December 22nd on Xbox Live. Mass Effect 2 is currently set of a January 26th release date.

E3 09: Mass Effect 2 is Looking Great

Alright Mass Effect 2. Woo! It looks great, sounds great, and I'm all around excited as hell to be able to transfer over my Mass Effect character. The trailer's a bit on the short side unfortunately, but it shows enough to reassure me that this is going to be a worthy followup to one of the best sci-fi RPGs ever. Also, Commander Shepard is so not dead.

Mass Effect 2 Psyched to be at E3

Bioware has officially confirmed an awesome amount of info on their upcoming Mass Effect 2 at this year's E3. Points covered will include how they plan to amp up the intensity of the firefights, a much darker storyline and locales, and other related plot points. In-game footage spliced with dev commentary below, check it out:

Mass Effect 2 Teaser!
