Audiosurf Only $5, This Weekend Only
Get your ass on Steam as Audiosurf, one of the top games of 2008 in my humble opinion, is only five bucks until Sunday. Audiosurf is an ingenious indie gem in which you can import your personal collection of music, to which the game will create tracks on which for you to play the game. The shape, speed, difficulty and visual effects featured in the tracks are determined by the features of the song you chose. It might not sound like much, but trust me, I'm explaining it very poorly. If you aren't convinced by my sad attempt to explain this amazing game, at least go check out the demo. I'm quite convinced you'll be shelling out five bucks to buy it shortly after.
Review: Audiosurf
Hardcore gamers beware, if Peggle didn’t get you then Audiosurf definitely will. The gameplay concept is as simple as it is hard to describe in words. Imagine guitar hero meets F-Zero meets connect four and you might have a vague idea of what Audiosurf looks like. Basically you pick your “vehicle,” each with a different special power and speed down a track picking up colored blocks. Match at least three of the same color and you score points.
